The Sibbett Group designed a series of visually stimulating environments centered around discovery-based learning. In the Theater of the Imagination Kids construct sets, dress up and “produce” performances. The nearby Wiggle Wall invites young children to practice their climbing skills. Three levels provide kids of different abilities and sizes to climb low or high. And if a child gets stuck, “escape hatches” can be removed for an easy rescue. Meanwhile, the Art Studio buzzes with energy as young artists paint on a wall-sized plastic “canvas” or attend a scheduled activity.Aquatic fun is the rule at WaterWorks. Pumping a handle makes a rainbow materialize overhead; pushing a button produces a spray of fog. The Wind Tunnel invites young kid aviators to lift their shirts overhead to test their own wings, as well as experiment with a collection of kites, parachutes, and whirly toys. Visitors of all ages can stop in at Little Town to slip into a booth and have a lattˇ or step into the role of cook, helper or shopper.Wacky wallpaper, gilded mirrors and velvet curtains set the scene for a one-of-a-kind party in the Birthday Club. When the house lights dim, cake, candles, gifts and refreshments appear. Visitors in need of a break can relax in the laid-back Blue Room Lounge and enjoy the curved wall awash in culturally diverse images and symbols representing family, happiness and peace.
