Lake Tahoe Visitor Center
The Sibbett Group has designed a visitor center that celebrates the rich history of Lake Tahoe.The visitor center provides a warm and inviting atmosphere complemented by interpretive exhibits that explore the Lake Tahoe region.In the main gallery, displays trace the area°s exciting history through an engaging mix of interactive elements, photographs, artifacts and interpretive text and graphics. In one area, visitors discover that the lake was formed by geologic faults. In another, they use a hands-on approach to learn about the odds of gaming.A series of Discovery Drawers in the center reveal real artifacts and objects culled from museums, visitor centers and even the famed Ponderosa Ranch.To learn more about the regionês many recreational and cultural activities, visitors can immerse themselves in the Trip Planning room, an area filled with reference materials, maps and take-home information.
