Port Walk
A series of interpretive sign panels were created by The Sibbett Group for a self-guided walking tour that extends from San FranciscoÕs Ferry Arch to the Hyde Street Pier. With a design inspired by the masts and rigging of Monterey Bay Clipper fishing boats, this interpretive signage program provides a lively and enjoyable orientation to one of San FranciscoÕs best-loved areas. The colorful history and authentic charm of San FranciscoÕs Italian fishing community is brought to life through a combination of compelling graphics and concise interpretive text. Locals and visitors alike will encounter engaging tales of prominent fishing families who got their start at the turn of the century and discover that FishermanÕs Wharf has an active fishing fleet and is still a thriving historic fishing port.
